I decided to put these words on the back of the hoodie, repeating over and over, as a reminder to those behind you — both literally and figuratively — that existence needs them. It’s also meant to be a posture for you to carry as you move through your day: a reminder that existence needs you, even on the days when you might not feel like you need it — or even want it.
